The Plan

Stone Historic Properties is focused on bringing the very best parts of the Middle Ages and Renaissance to life by building a rich community that is based on the values of inclusiveness and belonging so we can create a place that will be an economic and cultural boon to the region.

Farming

The vision for Stone Historic Properties is to produce agricultural goods such as hay, honey, fruit and hazel nuts, even someday sheep and goats.  SHP will even turn honey produced on the property into the delicious honey wine known as mead.

All of this will allow for education opportunities like classes and workshops on farming techniques, canning preserves and brewing. Most exciting of all, SHP will be a place for experimental history and archaeology students to explore the mysteries of the past.

Agricultural-Tourism

Agricultural-Tourism is an excellent way to improve the success of a farm business and also promote the importance of agricultural land protection. By hosting workshops and classes, SHP will attract locals to learn traditional means of food production. The themed aspect of the property will attract visitors, and our farmer’s markets will provide an opportunity for the produce growers in the region to sell their goods.

Themed Infrastructure

We are excited to build a permanent, historically themed village that can be interacted with or act as a backdrop for a wide variety of events and functions.

Themed Infrastructure

Best of all, we will build a castle in phases, starting with a wood gate house and eventually working up to a full concrete structure made to look like stonework.

The Village

Our vision for Stone Historic Properties is ambitious, and the village is no exception. At its core we will be building farm storage structures that are faced and decorated to look like streets from Northern Europe. Each of the three streets will have the appearance of a different era in time and place. There will be a town square with a city hall facade. At the other end of the street will sit the market square, church and workshops including  a blacksmith. All of the buildings and structures will be  constructed in such a way as to allow them to be easily changed and moved. This will permit the site to be tailored to specific events and changing needs.
